Professional Development
Professional development sessions provide both individuals and teams with the opportunity to reflect on and explore, their understanding and beliefs in relation to children and teaching practices. Professional Development that explores beyond the traditional thoughts and challanges us to consider what we do through a different lens is both exciting and acts as a catlyst to reflect on our environments, routines and the role that adults play in the learning process.
- Centre specific – we are able to provide tailor made sessions, to meet the needs of your centre
- Visits to the Resource Centre to view and discuss the environmnets, and materials displayed.
If Professional Development is to meet the needs of individual centres and move beyond traditional thoughts and practices we need to offer you the opportuity to and determine and reflect on the professional development you require.
In order that learning be meaningful and engaging it needs to be interest driven. What are you looking for? What do want to know more about? Is it art? documentation? critical thinking? environments? literacy and numerecy? routines? outdoor spaces? reviwing your philosophy?
This change in professional development delivery I hope mirrors the respect and value that we in the early childhood field uphold for children and adults as we continue to strive for practices that provide all children with opporunties to go beyond what is considered possible.
